Do you know your skin type?

The best way to protect skin is to figure out what kind of skin type you belong to, and then choose suitable skin care products. Generally, there are 3 kinds of skin types : oily, neutral and dry skin. However, from the perspective of medical cosmetology, there are six kinds:

Oily skin: characterized by thick skin, enlarged pores, looks like orange peel. Sebum secretion is too much, particularly, the face and T area are visibly shiny; Skin texture is rough and is easy to be 
polluted; antibacterial ability is weak, prone to get acne but not easy to get wrinkles and fine lines.

Neutral skin: the skin is smooth and delicate, and has pores smaller, oil and water balance, looks rosy, smooth, without defects and full of elastic.
Less sensitive to outside stimuli, not wrinkle, makeup is not easy to swapped. More common in adolescent girls. Becomes dry in winter, and oily in summer.

Dry skin: skin is delicate and thin, has no obvious pores, no greasy feeling. dry skin looks clean, delicate and beautiful. This skin is not prone to acne, and strong adhesion, makeup is not easy to swap. But the dry skin can not afford to external stimuli, such as wind and sun, by stimulating the skin become flushing, and even burnt. Easy to get aging wrinkle , especially around the eyes and mouth.

Mixed skin: exists two different kinds of skin. Usually there is oily, large pores, more sebum secretion, even the occurrence of acne in the forehead, nose, chin , while other parts such as the cheek show a dry or neutral skin characteristics.

Sensitive skin: delicate white skin, less sebum secretion. Its remarkable characteristic is that the contact of cosmetics easily cause skin allergies,  red and itchy. It is also allergic to the sun, pollen, mosquito bites and high protein food.

Problem skin: suffer from acne, rosacea, Melasma, freckles, affecting beauty in their lives, but not contagious or life-threatening skin, collectively referred to as problem skin.

Paper towel test:
 before you go to sleep at night after wash skin with a mild cleanser, do not rub any skin care product when go to bed, and get up in the morning, use a paper towel, gently wipe forehead and nose, if there leave traces on the paper towel, skin is oily
If paper towels only scattered traces of oil or no oil, the skin is dry if paper towels is greasy but not too much, the it is neutral skin.
